Hornby Surface Mounted Point Motor

Designed to be positioned either side of any Hornby point, this surface mounted point motor allows for the convenient electrical operation of points. Can be used with the Hornby R8216 Digital Point / Accessory decoder or for DC analogue operation, the R044 Lever Switch. May not be suitable for use with points which are incorporated into certain track configurations.

Powerful solenoid point motor for new model Hornby points that have the sliding bar mechanism. May be mounted above or below the baseboard (requires Point Motor Housing R8015 for mounting above). Comes supplied with metal extension arm for mounting motor underneath the baseboard. Powered from the accessory power output on your controller (or other 16v AC supply). Requires 'passing contact' lever switch R044 (not included). Does not include below board mounting screws.

Provides a base to mount Point Motor R8014 above the baseboard, with a model trackside hut to conceal it. Comes with variable extension arm that allows you to position the motor at different distances from the track, on either side of the point. The base of the housing may also be used to mount the motor under the baseboard.

Requires a rectangular hole 40mm x 24mm when clipped directly to the underside of a Peco Turnout. Use the PL-12 / PL-12X if above baseboard mounting is required; attaching PL-13 and PL-15 switches will enable switching for automatic polarity etc.

Gaugemaster Capacitor Discharge Unit (CDU)

For operating heavy duty point motors. The unit stores up power in capacitors and when a point motor is actuated, discharges in one big punch giving the point motor a firm and positive switching action. Connected to points via switches or probe and studs. Prevents burnt out motors.
Input: 16v to 24v A.C. at a maximum of 2.5 amps Gaugemaster T1 for Hornby/ Peco/ Seep point motors or T3 for 24v applications.

Hornby - Accessory Decoder with 4 Outputs

This Accessory decoder is suitable for fitting to any point, and can be easily programmed for operation by Hornby's Select or Elite DCC Units. The four outputs are factory set for the operation of solenoid (point) motors, however, by adjusting the CV settings of each output a graduation of varying "bursts" of current up to a constant current (turntable motor operation, lighting, etc.) can be obtained for each individual output.

This pack includes a Point Decoder, decoder to track link wire and a screw driver and screws. Replacement for R8216.
