Production Details:
As the standard BR general-purpose
diesel shunter, the 08 Class became a familiar sight at
major stations and freight yards. Although a large
proportion of the Class has been withdrawn, sold, or
scrapped; 08064 escaped destruction. The locomotive
resides in the NRM, preserved and operational to this
