Airfix - Avro Shackleton MR2 - 1:72 (A11004)
With its four Rolls-Royce Griffon engines giving it the
nickname Growler, the Shackleton flew with the RAF from 1949 until 1991! It
played a number of roles throughout its service but mainly it was an
anti-submarine aircraft and could carry up to 10,000lb of bombs, torpedoes
or mines.
With special permission and help from the Shackleton
Preservation Trust, Airfix have been granted exclusive access to the
original aircraft as well as the original drawings to produce the high
detail CAD imagery for this model.
